Research shows that children can experience tremendous benefit from open ended, sensory-rich outdoor play eaxperiences. Introcucing experiences in nature can present a unique challenge for infants and young toddlers. In this session, we will discuss risk management strategies specific to our youngest participants. Gain confidence incorporating mud play, water play, nature exploration, and gross motor opportunities outdoors with children 3-24 months in any setting. We will explore this topic through hands on sample activities, group discussions and shared successes from urban and suburban schools across the country. This session will address 'Diverse Learners'.
